Lamp post car crash victim named

Police have released the name of the man who was killed when his car hit a lamp post on the A9 Perth to Stirling Road.

Graham Davies, 45, was from Stockton-on-Tees in Cleveland.

Emergency services were called to the crash at Gleneagles at about 1015 BST on Monday, but he was pronounced dead by paramedics.

Tayside officers have appealed for anyone who witnessed the accident to get in touch.
