Pedestrian killed crossing road

A female pedestrian was killed in a collision involving a car and a motorbike on a Teesside road.

Judith Heavisides, 56, of Billingham, was crossing Marsh House Avenue in the town when the accident happened.

Police said the mother-of-two was walking to her workplace at Billingham industrial estate when she was hit.

The 46-year-old local motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and is helping police with their inquiries. The driver of the Peugeot 306 was unhurt.

Officers have appealed for any witnesses to the incident on Tuesday afternoon to contact them.
